The Orange Ball

...seems to have more staying power than Sophie. He can really grab this. However, attempts to chew on the ball have failed.

Another Oldie, but Goodie

The Ducks, They Follow Me

Original photo was too dark--so this is my imperfect retouching.

Rainbow Baby

pictures from a while ago

The original website got wiped out when we chose not to continue with the mobileme thing from Apple. It was too complicated for me--seriously, I couldn't figure it out, though I'm certain it was pretty simple.

The yellow band-aids are from Christopher's 8-week shots. I guess the last shot is pretty racy, but I think it's also kind of hilarious once you get past the enormous amount of cleavage I'm showing.

No, really. It's large.

We keep meeting other babies, younger babies who are just so much bigger than Christopher. He is maybe 13-14lbs. Another baby born May 2nd is already 16lbs! About the same length, but giant compared to our baby. As my mother says, his head is like a watermelon balanced on a Q-tip.

My head. It is large.

I'm bananas!

Loved this little PJ outfit from BabyGap.  Thanks to Barbara for the monkey!

Love Auntie Lauren!

Auntie Lauren can coax out a smile anytime...Christopher has been pensive and quiet lately, thinking of ways not to sleep (up 6X last night--whee!). Hoping this is a growth spurt. Otherwise, he will be left on the side of the road with a supply of pampers, size 1.

Even the Nights are better...

Some shots to take us into evening...and what we have to look forward to.

Vive La France

Chistopher was the very lucky recipient of some fancy French clothing from Tartine et Chocolat. Lucky boy! Thanks Marta!

Truth in Advertising

Taurus: born headstrong, loves to be indulged

More pictures of Central Park

I don't know how to arrange the pictures in a more artful way.

And here is Christopher's reaction to the devastation in the park

Oh, the tree-manity

Apparently we live at the epicenter of the terrible storm that took down almost 500 trees in Central Park. So sad...and Christopher's waterfall no longer has shade. Nor does the recently renovated playground. Alas!

Here's a video of Christopher enjoying the Park in happier times. It's from early August. He is much bigger now--at least he is longer and his noggin has grown.

The Baby in the Mirror

There are all sorts of things that aren't quite right in this picture (ignore the mess in the background, please!)--but he is just so pleased with himself. I'm wearing a Wrapsody Bali Baby Breeze stretch wrap. Once it gets cooler outside, we can ditch the stroller so Christopher can look around a little more.

Overpriced Toys R Us

I realize that $20 is unconscionable for what is, essentially, a teething toy. But having heard good things about Sophie both from the insane online chatgroup as well as the smart, sane women's board, I couldn't resist.*

In the end, though, for whatever reason...he loved her. This morning he was somewhat more reserved, but I have high hopes for Sophie and Christopher's long-lasting relationship.

*OK, truth be told: It was hot, I was bored, and we needed somewhere to go. The people at Albee's have it all figured out.
