Pushcart

Thanks Barbara--Christopher was VERY into his pushcart. Not in a walking mood, but the blocks were cool.

Moving on to March: Storm King 2010

Storm King is open to members two weekends each winter. We went last weekend and were lucky to catch the sculptures in snow.

Some Breakfast Shots

Reading the Cereal Box - a fine tradition starts now. How were children raised before the humble cheerio?

Eating in his diaper may not be klassy, but at least it cleans up quick!

Stacking Rings

He's really good at getting these off the post now.

Elmo from behind

The little ledge on this storage shelf is the perfect height for Christopher to creep along. He likes when we wear this Elmo hat--but doesn't really care to put it on himself.

Yes, he is wearing Reindeer Rompers--out of season (too bad!)

A few shots from early February

Crawling--he's a LOT faster now. And chewing on a penguin (he has five of these)

Tower of Blocks

More gifts from Moses, Jocasta, and Monroe. Three feet of blocks! we have about 2.5 feet left....maybe

So much food

We have a lot of photos and film of Christopher eating. Not only is it fun--it just happens to be the only time he is one place these days. We'll have to film his crawing and pulling! up!

This is from January 16. You can see the remains of blueberries and...banana? on his face.

From December

When Nancy Torres gave us this adorable outfit, complete with matching lion--it looked so impossibly large. In December, though, it was the perfect fit. I can't believe it!

The blocks were a gift from Moses, Jocasta and Monroe...Of course, Jocasta had everything pristine and complete. We've lost blocks already. Sigh.

It's been cold out

So this hat really really was a good investment.

oh my darling... Clementine.

OK, so we've been remiss in updating this blog. To be honest, it's been hard to get any pictures of Christopher because he's just been so...busy. Busy crawling away, busy doing something so interesting that he just can't. be. bothered.

In any case, solid foods are going well. His favorites so far include pear sauce (kicks apple sauce's butt, truly)...and clementines. Here he is letting Bill know just how much he wants that clementine (we peel the white membrane off, that's what is taking so long).

Almost crawling

Rolling, lurching, lunging...he gets there somehow.

Some shots of Christmas

Christopher meets Elmo. Somewhat nonplussed.

Grandma comes to visit

He has until age 5

...to write his first symphony.

Or maybe we'll give him up to age 7. Because Christopher is only half Chinese, he won't have to start piano lessons until 6.

Becky visits New York

Christopher really started babbling with Becky--they had a lot to say to each other

Doomed to do the Overbite?

I am kind of a genetic mutant in my family in that I do have a sense of rhythm. And I don't think that it's entirely disloyal to say that Bill...doesn't quite have that same sense. So we're watching Christopher with interest to see if he will grow up clapping on the 2 and the 4 or on the 1 and 3.

Music: Just Dance (Lady GaGa)

asleep at the job

After a hard day's jumping, Christopher had to take a quick break
