Love is as good as neglect

No, really, he LOVES his neglectosaucer

Or a nice chianti?

Do you want fries with that?

First solid food! A whopping 1.5 tablespoons of rice cereal.

Teething? Teething!

Drool? Check.

Pink cheeks? Check.

Disturbed sleep? Check.

Unmentionable things happening in the diaper? Check to that too.

Bill noticed that Christopher likes when he rubs his bottom gums with his finger--and Christopher also liked gumming a cold teething toy. We're going to put some washcloths in the freezer as well. No white peeking through yet, but we think it could be very soon that we say a sad farewell to his little gummy smile.

Wall, I still love you

You may be interesting, but oh wall--I still love you.

Look Book: October 15. A Little Downtown. A Little Country. A Little Gangsta

Christopher daringly mixes styles today, going with an urban hipster DwellStudio for Target lion onesie and hot red American Apparel Karate Pants, matched with Jazzy Toes Cowboy Boots for the country boy at heart. He then goes oversize to add some flava with a Gap All in One Vest + Hoodie

Any resemblance to a turtle is purely coincidental.

Look Book: Evening, October 14

Christopher is wearing blue-striped cotton Hanna Andersson stretch PJs, which he likes to layer with a matching blue Halo Sleepsack (not pictured). Spit-up (see first photo) is optional.

Standing in the crib is awesome. Sleeping in it gets two thumbs down.

Christopher sports a burgundy Gap polo 2-in-1 onesie, which he has paired with oh-so-comfy American Apparel Pants in slate. Contrasting fuzzy socks in a blue, green, and white stripe add an unexpected touch of whimsy.

Here he relaxes before another day with shaker toys and stacking blocks.

Mornings now

Christopher has discovered that his arms can wave in the air. So he waves them like he just don't care.

The End of the Swaddle

We never thought it would happen--but Christopher no longer needs his swaddle to sleep in. Around 4.5 months he would wake up having broken out of the swaddle entirely--arms out, leg out...kind of like a miracle blanket toga.

Here's a video of one of his last mornings in the swaddle. It's from August.
